Pugger, keep a look out at various NSW pounds and rescues. Happy to help you with it when you find one.

You may already have had a look, but Pets Haven have a lot of cats and some kittens needing homes. They're located in Woodend, which is about .. hmm, an hour from the city, ish? I'm in East Brunswick and it took me about 45mins to drive there, from memory.

I know nothing about cats, and it looks as though the current ones are all DSH/DLH but who knows, something there might take your fancy! Apparently Junior, the white one, has quite a fan club and has been looking for a home for ages.

Fair enough - a much better option in my opinion also. I like cats, when they belong to other people, and look cute hanging out in people's front yards, etc ...
Good luck with the cav search!

PetRescue - find your new best friend!

    Pet rescue has a few.

Learned some new acronyms eg DSH - domestic short hair...
