The training section of this forum could help you out - a professional trainer used to answer questions in there... Haven't read for a while but should still be the case.

If he can't help online he should be able to recommend someone nearby.

Thank you everybody. We are delighted that we have found moo a fantastic home. her new owners are being very patient with her. And she even lives inside most of the time now. Have a dog trainer coming tonight to try to help us with the other two. Mayb will update on the behavior section on how we go. Great feeling that there is still lovely people who are willing to help an older mixed breed animal. And not just get a purebreed puppy.

Given you're on a forum where most of the people here own or have owned crossbreeds (including older rescue), that comment was very rude and uncalled for.

Im sorry you feel that way. Do you think maybe a slight persecution complex? My comment was not targeted at you or anybody on here. It was more about venting my frustrations at all the unwanted dogs out there and the pet shops who sell a lot of them. I had just been seen a program about such things. Silly me thought forums were for talking about issues that affected us.

If you'd left the "And not just get a purebred puppy" part off I would have no problem with that statement of yours.

Yes there are a lot of people who just want a purebred, that's their choice. I'm guessing you've been on other forums and had a bad experience, if that's the case I'm sorry, but there's no reason to attack those with purebreds.

BTW: I own two rescues, so no persecution complex here. I am just very aware that people should not be made to feel guilty for getting the dog they want. There was no reason for you to bring pb's into this thread at all. No-one has made any comments suggesting you get a pb, no-one but you even brought them into it.

Jez, there are plenty of people around willing to home older xbred dogs. Not everyone wants a pb.

I have never even owned a pb. Only ever mutts.
