So tomorrow is the big day.........what is everyone's experience with bringing home a puppy with it being their first car ride?.....I am bringing my partner so I can sit with the puppy in case it freaks out and not have to worry about driving.........I was just going to bring a blanket/towel in case it has an accident and let it sit on my lap? any thoughts? All dogs that I have taken home have been older and already used to a car so i'm a bit unsure as to what most puppies are like the first time. Its also only a 15 min car ride so not too far really

neesolay - heaps of good luck for tomorrow ! The pup is absolutely gorgeous ! How exciting for you !

You sound like you have everything very well organised for the pup for the trip home tomorrow. They don't need much to keep them happy and feeling safe for their first car ride - and you seem to have everything covered !

Getting a blanket out to put in the playpen for the puppy, Barney has not gone near it the whole time we have had it..........naturally he has claimed it as his now that I am doing something with it! typical
