    Tick Twister

I bought a set from a local chemist at the coast and used it very succesfully on both humans and dogs. They also sold me a little insecticide spray - cannot find the brand now, but it's a tiny bottle. Though I think there are differing opinions on whether to spray or not spray before you pull them out.

I don't know what you mean by "the south Coast". If you mean the bit of coastal Australia from Melbourne to Albany then - there are ticks but not the paralysis sort - though a dog that has been in a paralysis tick area can accidentally share when he gets home with his friends - some WA people had that unfortunate experience when one of their dogs at the same Hunter Valley event as me - took their dog back home. And that one and another that had not been to NSW got affected - fortunately quick vet treatment sorted it.

But when I lived in Canberra - Sydney and Canberra people meant the NSW coast south of Sydney when they said "south coast" and that would have paralysis ticks.

And same sort of deal of relative geography in Brisbane, and SA isn't any better, because we refer to the area around Naracourte and Mt Gambier as "the South East", and I don't know what Gippsland and Tas would make of that. And for us "the West Coast" is Port Lincoln to the WA border.
