I thought that once we got back from being away we would have trouble with getting Murphy back into his create after spending those days and nights unconfined.
But on the first night he slept right through in it like he hadn't even been away.
So we have been lucky and I have no idea why he (your dog) is doing this.
Maybe it is to see if he can get out and have his feedom, but I do think that is wrong.

Aww, I just love baby photos!

When our boy first came home I gave him a old bluey type lined coat/jacket to snuggle up to- It had the smell of our previous dog still on it so I thought this would be of some comfort to him.
He slept all through the night so it seemed to work ok.

Please dont put him outside, he is a baby and he needs to feel safe and loved.

He will be clingy but give him an item of your clothing to keep in his crate.
Something that has your body scent on it, even a pair of unwashed woolly
    socks or something.

You are his family now. I wish you many years of happiness with him.

He will eventually need to learn that his days are spent outside in the sun and inside when myself or a family member are home......he will be outside in a confided balcony space with lots of toys and puppy puzzles from 8:30am-5:30pm..... I will be going home at 1:00 to feed him and play with him for an hour....
My only issue now is Nala.....she gets really rough but I dont know if its playing or not......if I film it and post it will anyone be able to tell me if this is "normal" behaviour....

Sorry, I thought you put him outside at night.
I did not mean to pass judgement on you, I just got a bit teary at the thought of the little fella all alone in the dark.

All the best, I hope he settles in soon.
