Nibbler is going to his final puppy class tonight, there are 3 other pups in the class - A dalmatian, labrador retriever and a pug. The first time the puppies had interaction the pug was very friendly, so much the Labrador and Dalmatian didn't know what to make of him. Then we put Nibbler down, poor little pug ran for it!! My boy is very boisterous, but the owners of the pug were fine. The Lab and Dalmatian were very weary of Nibbler as well. Last week when they had play time again, the Labrador and Nibbler were getting on very well, they chased each other around.. ran through the water dish.. it was great.

The playtime is closely monitored and only two pups are allowed in the play area at time. I was concerned about off leash puppy play (having heard of some peoples experiences).

We have met a man a few doors down who owns an adult Lab, we introduced Nibbler to him through the fence, they seemed very comfortable with each other. We're going to organise a play date soon (Can't wait)! I love watching dogs interact in play. I do feel more comfortable now knowing more about dog behaviour and body language, thanks to the puppy classes.

That's great news about Nibbler. Oskar was great at puppyschool, and I am not so stressed about what happened at the park, another forum member explained that is quite normal. I think we just have to be a bit wiser about who we choose for Oskar to play with. He is quite a big pup and can be quite rough when playing. His mates at puppy preschool were a Lab pup and a staffy x bull terrier, they got on great. I think we will be avoiding little dog breeds.

Tonight, I took my camera along to class to give you all a visual of Banksie and her new best friend, Golden Retriever Pup 'Milka'. As you can see, they're in love! And are virtually inseparable the whole time we're there (despite their very large size difference).

Very cute. They are having a ball those two.

I just got back from Mojo's 3rd class and the diffrence was amazing. The owners where excellent and we all enjoyed the class.
The biggest diffrence tonight was the lack of kids including my own. The pups seemed more interested in each other rather than the humans on thier off leash time and Mojo was right in thier sniffing and playing withn every other pup and is showing a lot more confidence. No more hiding under the chair whatsoever.
I learnt a lot tonight about diets, especially for Mojo's large size and realised i was making a few mistakes even though i had researched it a lot. No more porridge, pet mince or other filler or fatty type foods.
I am also giving some thought into swapping from Eukanuba to Royal Canin dry food.
Bones will be shanks only from now on after he swallowed some bigger ones today. He's such a guts !
We also looked at all the diffrent type of flea treatments as Bundy is a real hot spot area for fleas, yet we dont get paralysis ticks at all here.
And another 1.5 kg in a week. 12.5kg's of puppy power !

For $10 a class, $40 for the whole thing its has been money well spent and i recommend puppy preschool to any puppy owner whether you've had dogs before or not.
