I never did any hardcore training with my Diesel.... He had a few accidents were we would just take him outside show him were to go.... and it was all of a sudden he just "got" that he didnt pee inside.... hes never weed or pooped inside and he is now 16 months old (he stopped around 2.5 months...)

I used a crate with my pup coz i was neurotic that my big GSD would squash it.
It buggered up house training. So i removed the crate and kept back door open, and yep, toileted it as Newfie suggests.
2 days it took to train her.
Plus Bernie training her, as dogs copy other dogs behaviours.

LOL at everyones words for toileting. We say "toilies" in our house...Ill say "you guys wanna go toilies" and they quickly run to the back door.

I hate toilet training...Barney was very quick though and only ever had 2 accidents inside (and one was coz he had an upset tum).

Pippi however even now, at 2, is not 100%. If the door is open she will go out, and if she is put in her room for the day, or overnight she will hold on. But in the evenings, if the door isnt open and ya dont notice that she needs to go, she will just go. She wont even let you know she needs to go...its really annoying.

Luckily we are smokers and are outside every 20 minutes or so anyway LOL
