I prefer to call them what they are, i.e. foxy/shih tzu mix as an example, but that's only because all the "cutesy" names are kinda poofy sounding and they are the x breed they are. But I dont think the cutesy names are particularly offensive and am not sure why people get quite so up in arms about a name.
Not extreme at all. It is lying particularly when buyers are told they are purchasing a "purebred <insert stupid name here>" when in fact said dog is a cross of "this" breed and "that" breed.

It is just marketing hype. That's the entire reason behind them being called "Designer Dogs". It makes them seem special/rare/important/exclusive (depending on the person's point of view).

The sooner we start calling it what it is the better.

I cant say I have ever actually seen an ad for a "purebred <insert name here>"

Most ads say what each parent is, so youd have to be a bit of an idiot to think it was a purebred LOL

    Thats hilarious!

I have never seen one. How ridiculous.

Oh well, anyone who doesnt research what they are buying and discovers what a "cavoodle" really is, is a moron.

You should try your Purina Optimum.
My wife told this lady who she works with and has 2 labrodors and one is the normal looking Lab while the other one is so skinny yet eats the same amount.
It only took a couple of weeks and the skinny one started to put on weight. And now 4 weeks later she has 2 healthy looking Labs.
Yes it is dearer than the normal food but you are getting quality food.
