There would be a fair bit of competition for a puppy. If I was them, I would be saying - person I don't know at all vs my friend who is a champion agility handler? Guess who the puppy goes to. But you could ask them to recommend other breeders if they don't have any puppies available.
    Hi,
Just wanted to correct a possible mis-impression. I do not choose homes for my pups based on if the new owner has put an agility championship on a previous dogs or if they are a freind of mine.
A quick look at my web site will prove that. I choose my homes based on selecting the homes I think will be most likely to be the best long term loveing suitable home.
While it is true I think most of pups benifit or even need an activity such as agility, and many of my pups do agility along with other activities, that is only one consideration amoung many considerations I look at when chooseing a home. I have placed pups sucessfully into a wide range of homes and roles.

    Thanks,

It is always best to check with the breeder before making statements like this on public message boards.

Sorry if that is wrong, that is what someone told me they paid, might have included the compulsory hip scoring and flights although they didnt specify.

I dont anything bad was said about the dogs at all, they were just a recommendation to the OP that they were good dogs that were working bred and were well known for dog sports and bascally to phone up and ask more about them.

I did not say anything bad was said about the dogs, but the other poster was right, you shouldnt assume or inform people of who the type of home they sell their dogs to or what the price is, its up to the breeder to disclose this information, not the public, especially when they get the information wrong... yes good to refer to breeders but like i said prices etc are at the disclosure of the breeder.

Well excuse me for recommending what I thought (and still do) was a good breeder and for thinking her dogs were worth that. Wont be doing that again - people can find their own information.

I have seen prices discussed quite a few times on this forum. Maybe the moderators can ban any mention of prices.

I personally made no assumptions about the type of home they would be sold to and suggested the OP look up the web site and contact the breeder for more information.

No problems - people can find their own information on breeders LOL - doesnt bother me, I know what I need for my personal requirements as far as working dogs go.

I dunno, I think it would be better to state a price that was a bit over, than one that was way under. Ie people prefer to think they're getting a bargain/good price than suddenly be expected to pay a lot more than they thought.

I've got no idea now from what Cindy said if the price is over or under now.

I choose my homes based on selecting the homes I think will be most likely to be the best long term loveing suitable home.
I read that to mean you wouldn't be handing over a dog to someone you know nothing about, that you'd be asking questions and checking out any prospective buyers. Some would be puppy buyers are surprised by this but I think it's good. I usually recommend that would be buyers get to know their prefered breeder a bit so that the breeder can be as confident as possible the dog is going to a good long term home.

So what we'd really like to know is does shedeivl fit the "good home" criteria?

And there are some bc x ??? on petrescue
