Slight tangent, but a while ago my MIL told me to apply for a job in the local paper.
    It was a pet crematorium.
I called them and got some details.
Turns out you had to have your own chest freezer to STORE the pets in and then once the freezer was full transport the popsicle dogs to their facility which was 2 1/2 hours away.

Now I'm weird... but that was a little too weird even for me.
This reminds me of one of my tasks at a Vet surgery I worked at many eyars ago. Bodies were put into a chest freezer and when the freezer was near to being full, I had to load up the ute and take them to the tip. Frozen dogs can be damn heavy too.

    take them to the tip
What a waste of perfectly good fertilizer. Nothing better than a dog buried under the apple tree for next year's crop.

Don't do it to the citrus tho - they don't like having their roots messed with that much.

This thread seems to have gone to the dogs and turned into a free for all.
This might keep the laughs coming

Not to mention that it was an illegal practice too Hya. Dogs die for all manner of reasons and putting them in the ground in such a way at a public waste disposal facility was not a great idea. At the time, I was too young and inexpereinced to understand the consequences, or to even argue about such a thing with my boss.

    @ Bundybear. Cute clip!

    Hi Anne

Hadn't really thought about that - the health hazard, hospital grade waste problem. I was thinking of the old decrepid dog PTS.

The things bosses ask juniors to do without considering any of the legal problems, sigh. I once got asked to write a computer program to supply personal private info to people who were not supposed to have it. I asked questions and um... they changed their mind about that bit of the program.
