Default Why Your Puppy is Naughty

    Hi all

An Ian Dunbar Video "Dog friendly dog training". I saw it a while ago but given some of the posts that come up on here it answers a lot of questions.

YouTube - Ian Dunbar: Dog-friendly dog training

Why your dog doesn't come when you call it.
Why your dog jumps on you.
    Why your dog bites you.

    What to do about it.

How to train "on the mat".

Why punishment doesn't work (imagine training a grizzly bear and trying to smack it on the butt when it doesn't do what you tell it).

How to train your family (not just the dogs) - the power of praise.

You can't watch too many Ian Dunbar videos.

    Dunbar rules!

I was wandering - is it possible to put his FREE downloadable books in a sidebar for new puppy owners (or those who think about getting a puppy)? I think any dog forum/site should have it available. He is such a good speaker and explains everything so well. I wish there are more Dunbars out there. He is one of my favourite dog trainers.
Respect and you shall be respected. Animal is always right.

Thank you so much for posting this! I'm going through and watching them all - so much for night of homework. Sigh. I think I'm learning more by watching these though

Maybe we could pin this thread. Have I left anything out?

Wow thanks for posting! Just what I needed. I definitely need to do some more research to understand my pup.
