    Hi Di Dee

The last ACD I lived with got something wrong with his balls that probably killed him, he never figured out how to hump anything - well a few ears got a pounding...

He had regular vet checks and I think eventually old age got him as well as generally falling to bits.

Our pup is just over 4 months old, and a few people have mentioned that he looks tall.
He still looks like a puppy... it almost just looks like his legs have grown and thats it

Does anyone have a photo of their ACD around 4 months?

This is my ACDx at 4 months. Sorry about it being a bit blurry...
Long legs - but this can be a side effect from early desexing (8 weeks) or the unknown parent.

My 3 yo ACD bitch measures 46cm to the wither. She was more or less full height by about 12 months old. She weighs in at 18kg.

ACDS are quite varied in their size and shape. The above mentioned dog is quite a slender athletic build although she has a blocky head whereas my mothers is short legged and stocky.

I dont know if this works for ACDs but a rule of thumb I go with for growth is up for the first year and out for the second.

Our pup has a broad head, but is still quite lean in the body but we can see the muscle starting to show in his legs. He father was really stocky, with a large broad head. While his mother wasn't very stocky, and had the lean look.

His current weight and height are mentioned in my previous post
