Were they actually selling it as a Bull Arab x or a Bullypoodledoo or something equally as silly?

There will always be people who believe designer breeds are 'real' breeds, you can tell them until you are blue in the face and they will still argue.
I would love to see a law brought in that pet shops can refuse sale to certain customers or the staff at least have some basic education in puppy care.

No they actually had it as Rotti X Bull Arab. But they had the Maltese X Shih Tzus as Maltese Shih Tzu's.

They can refuse a sale but they wont it's all about the $$$$

I tend to surf the net for the larger chain stores that sell poodle crosses and so on. The ones that get their stock from the large puppy farms. Although they deny deny deny.

I haven't come across Bull Arab x's. My pet hate store near us has a lot of working breed dogs and crosses, STB and Lab crosses. She has been reported several times to council and RSPCA. At one point council were taking her to court as there were over 100 complaints. When I rang to see when the court date was it had been canceled. Why? Was going to cost them too much..This women has even had cruelty charges against. Makes my blood boil. It has since been referred back to RSPCA.
    I digress.

It looked like a Dobie to me. I guess the Bull Arab part sort of slimmed it out a bit.
I couldn't believe they were selling such a large breed that will need a lot of training and socialisation in a pet shop! Setting it up for the worst...

I always stop and then wish I did not as I worry what will happen to them if they are not sold and I get even more upset when there is one left on it's own.

I had to tell this young girl on her own in a pet shop that the puppies had no water and she just glared at me and said I can't do everything!I did check and they did have water when I returned. The last time I saw some blue heeler/husky x's and they looked ill they were shaking.I was told they were fine.

Not having pet shops that sell puppies and kittens in the UK it was really strange seeing them here.I have no idea why it is still allowed.

To be honest I can't remember but I know it must be a very long time as I am 40 ish and I don't remember seeing puppies though I remember seeing kittens.

I heard one excuse for not banning them in pet shops was it will just made the puppy farms go underground.I could not believe it.I think the UK got most of the puppy farms closed after a lot of media help.Maybe these people could visit some rescue centres that can't cope with all these poor animals and see that making it so easy to buy an animal on the spur of the moment from a pet shop just does not help.

Yes they rely on impulse purchases a lot.
If pet shops sold puppies from shelters I'd have no problem at all! Its just people are breeding for pet shops when there are already homeless puppies.
