    A friend of mine suggests

to check for a cleft (roof of the puppies mouth) if this has not already been done by a vet. If they do not know what to look for then do a comparison by looking in one of the healthy puppies mouths.

Advise them to put the sickly puppy to the rear teats as these have the most milk. Remove the other puppies to a corner of the whelping box while the sick puppy feeds.

And lastly it's not much use putting the sickly puppy to a teat after the others have already fed. Get the sickly puppy in first.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

well done, jessie1990. I do love an update. So the little one has caught up to the rest?

Were there any surprises or has it all gone smoothly so far?
