Thread: Deposit Paid

    Default Deposit Paid

I decided early this morning just on a whim to check my bank balance. Upon checking,i discovered i had been backpaid money owing to me This backpay was enough to place a deposit on a Japanese Spitz puppy, finally!!!

With tax also getting done as soon as i get group certificates, that will pay the rest of the amount owing on the pup, plus airfare from Sydney to Melbourne etc. I am soooo excited,i emailed the breeder straight after i made the payment hahaha,at 6:30am.

I also then woke up my daughter who is having her first day of the school holidays just to tell her,and she was also very much excited and wide awake, then after her excitement i told her the time and to go back to sleep, which she did immediately, she possibly wont even remember when she wakes up hahaha.

So now the mad dash is on in preparation as i have either now secured a pup from the August litter,or i wait until the litter after, either way, deposit has been paid and i am excited.

Do reputable breeders really expect deposits or is this the sign of a dodgy breeder?

    Just checking.

In my experience, yes they usually do. Especially if it's a champion litter or breed that is rare or popular. They take a deposit and asses new owners carefully.
Respect and you shall be respected. Animal is always right.

We ask for deposits at 6weeks of age.. Up til then, we just place names beside the pup that they are interested in......
