I think its unfair to limit knowledge to over 18's!
How can my generation learn and accept advice and knowledge if we are shut out of things such as forums, etc?
We are human beings too! We have feelings too! We have working brains and eager minds, so why should WE be kicked out of forums?
I totally dont agree, obviously. Why is it the generation above us complain about 'what we have become' - have they forgotten who raised it?

    /Rant over.
Masha your doing well hunn - keep at it! I'm behind you and think your doing GREAT! x

Limiting the age to over 18s is to protect the innocent. Looking at this thread alone with the language, disrespect to Masha's mother and inuendos (to a child!), I think it is imperative that there is a limit.

Protecting children is every adults responsibility.

Its not like a 15 year old doesn't use that language anyway.
A teenager has just as much right to be on the forum as anyone. After all, its a forum on knowledge, whether you're the learner or the giver, age shouldn't have anything to do with it.
A teenager is not an 8 year old, they know right and wrong, and they give good advice. Even adults can learn from 16 year olds.

I think this thread has been derailed enough.

Masha posted looking for help. That is what we should be giving. That is what some of us have to try to give.

Anyone can read through this thread. I do not see why we shouldn't be helping Masha. Nor do I see any need for under 18s to be banned. They have as much right as you or I to this information, they have as much right to an opinion as you and I and if they are looking for help I see no reason for us not to help if we can do so.

Sorry for continuing the hi-jacking Masha, but this has me intrigued.

Melba, hypothetical, what would you think if I told you I was 16?

Melba, you seem very much of the "old school" of thought.

I doubt you're going to see too many "innocent" fifteen and sixteen year olds anyway Television alone has seen to that. You can raise your kids how you like, but you have no jurisdiction of how children should and should not view the internet in their own homes. Even for adult sites, it is impossible to ban people under 18 years of age. All they have to do is click "Yes, I am 18"

But banning under 18 year olds on a dog forum is utterly ridiculous. There's just no logic to it.

I, for one, think that if dog forums like this one did not allow me to participate and learn when I was under 18 (or just turned 18) I would not be the dog owner I am today and Keeda would not be the dog she is today. Limiting the forum to over 18s only is ridiculous imho. There are plenty of dumb adults out there (and yes, dumb parents as well) as well as dumb kids. I'm not sure why it's automatically assumed that Masha's mother is made of gold and doesn't make mistakes. If her mother is promoting aggression in Dora she could get Dora and/or another dog and/or another person hurt, or worse, killed. Just because the mother is an adult does not mean she is in the right here. Sure, we don't know for certain as we don't know the story from the mother's perspective, but that just means we have to judge the situation by the information we do have. And the information we do have points to Masha trying to train the dog and the mother promoting aggression in the dog.

Sorry for continuing the derailing, just my 2 cents.
