I hope so!! And since shes little, she'll probly get exhausted sooner. Fingers crossed it wont last much longer. Hmm. Where I've tied her, she can see in the kitchen window, and mum is cooking (while calling me an animal abuser). Dora can see her, maybe this is why she wont stop? I cant tie her anywhere else though, it'll be too close to the neighbours (our villa is in the corner)

It's ok, it takes as long as it takes hun. I know it's hard, I really do.

Think of it this way, barking for her has worked from the day she arrived, now you are undoing all of that training that has been done with her.

Is your mum talking to her? Reassuring her or telling her to shut up?

Oh!!! If she barks at you when you go out there, turn around and go back inside and wait again.

Mum isnt talking, shes ignoring. I have to go to an art lesson in about 15 minutes, and I asked mum to do TOT if Dora doesnt shut up then. Mum said she wont, as soon as Im gone shes gonna let her in. THis is so frustrating. THanks for being here, Angela

    35 minutes of barking??

If so then she knows just how well its worked in the past.

If you are going to go out to a barking dog etc its best to do it in the first seconds (not that I'm saying do that, I'm just trying to explain why she built up to such a stage).

If you try to ignore the dog but after a while cave in, they generally start off at the level you last caved and went to them and then work up from there very quickly.

Think kid in the supermarket checkout with the lollies throwing a tantrum, mum caves because she doesn't want to cause a scene, but kid knows next time throw the tantrum and eventually I get a chocolate.

I realise you're in a complex which is why this started it's why I suggest you talk to the neighbours and advise them that you are training her and her barking will likely get a bit worse before it gets better.

Put on your best I'm just a kid but I'm trying to be responsible face and get them on side.

Anytime Masha, Hopefully she will come good before then.

Try asking your mum if she can just wait for Dora to be quiet before letting her in, because you don't want to make her barking worse Be polite and use please and thank you, grovel a little if you have to, and be VERY appreciative if she agrees!! If she doesn't then just turn around and walk away, DO NOT lose your temper with your mum, it won't help at all!

ETA: This way she is still kind of enforcing the TOT without knowing it IYKWIM

Please wait this one out Masha if you don't trust your mum. Me, I think it would be better to miss an art lesson than have to go thru this again.
