Thread: Oh Dear Lord!!!

    Default Oh Dear Lord!!!

So just incase anyone wants to know what happens when a 14 week old puppy eats a WHOLE cup of treats...

SH!T happens!!! Lots and LOTS of it!!! Runny smelly SH!T!!!

Poppy has apparently slept all day! Who wouldn't with a FAT tummy full of breakfast and treats galore! And just before I got home she poo'ed INSIDE A LOT!!!

It is just the treats right? Should I be worried? Should I feed her tonight?

I have never seen so much poo come out of her!!!

    Ooooh dear!

    Hopefully that resides soon!

Just try and get some fluids into her to counteract all the diarrhea, dehydration can be deadly, especially with pups.

Poor Poppy (or should we call her poopy at the moment). I hope she will be okay! Amy, sorry that you have so much poo to clean up!

Sorry I shouldn't laugh.... But it is a little funny!

Perhaps just a little bit of plain biccies for dinner tonight - no meat or anything, make sure she gets plenty of water.

I also have scourban here which settles tummies and stops diarreah, if you need it let me know.

Poor little Poppy! She will be ok though!

I think if the diarreah continues a lot, or gets worse you should definitely get her to the vets, but that depends on what happens tomorrow

for having to clean it up.... I know how that one goes!

ETA: If you want to give her the scourban anyway, just let me know how much she weighs. I'm home all night now and home all day tomorrow.

Thanks! Have been offering her water and she has free access to it too! She loves when I let the tap run, cup my hand under it and hold her up to drink out of my hand! Indulgent I know but she drinks a lot that way! Hehe!

Glad to know I'm not the only one! Needless to say she has had NO treats today! Only verbal praises and lots of pats!

Thanks for the offer and advice! I will keep an eye on her and see how she goes. She hasn't poop'ed again since I have been home so maybe she's got it all out of her system. Will keep the Scourban in mind too!

Well normally Amy I would say don't feed her, don't allow her to drink TOO much water, just small bits at frequent intervals...

But after what has happened to me, then I will now say keep a bloody good eye on her, particularly with a bloated stomach.

Poor little Poopy (hehe), she won't like not getting her din-dins but best to err on the side of caution, hope she's feeling better in the morning.

I couldn't help thinking about how many topics involve our dogs' poo-ing habits, today I have been following Rio around the paddock with the pooper-scooper, inspecting all of them...jeez he can churn it out!
