Oh I do miss my Kelpies but I know I don't have the time to dedicate to training like I once did and an untrained, unoccupied Kelpie is not fun.
That describes it perfectly! Complete yo-yo but even when he's being a silly puppy it's amazing what he can do! He outsmarted hubby yesterday afternoon... Batty got his roo steak! I was doubled over laughing for ages!

ETA: Batty managed to get hubby to follow him outside, leaving the steak on the plate in the living room on the coffee table (I was in the kitchen preparing my dinner) then Batty raced back indoors after leaving hubby around the other side of the house and ran into the living room. Hubby walked in a couple of mins later. All I heard was "Where's my steak? That bloody cat had better not have taken it!" I've walked in and spotted Batty curled up right at the back of his crate gnawing away at it... I heard nothing at all sneaky little bugger!

I've taught him a cute little trick, I tell him to "go to bed" and he'll lay down on his side on his bed, his blanket is always there and I tell him "You forgot your blankie" and he'll grab the nearest part of the blanket and pull it over himself

It's still a bit hit and miss, but he's got the idea of it and he'll do it for me in front of hubby sometimes too We're still proofing it a lot! He loves training, I don't know what makes him happier - asking "are you hungry now" or asking "are you ready for work"

Can't wait to hear how she goes!
Very true! When do they lose those oh so sharp teeth? When I was stuffing her kong this morning (GSD's treats go perfectly in them!) I noticed some pointy needle teeth marks from her so glad to see she using the kong to its full potential! Haha!

I hope next weekend when we meet again she remembers him and doesn't go into "everything is so scary and new" mode!

Batty's aren't anywhere near as sharp now, although that could be because he's a lot more gentle now? I'm really not sure when, but the biting does get easier.

I'm glad she's enjoying her Kong!

Fingers crossed she goes straight into play with me mode
