My advice is to throw your fear out the window.

Oh all right, sometimes dogs get bones lodged in their mouths, in other places too (but I won't go there now, had enough talk of dog's bums today) but is a small percentage it happens to, and that could happen with any bone or anything you give them really, when you think about it. Hell, some vets even advocate against Kongs these days for the same reason. Sigh. Sure, it's possible with a Kong too - hell anything's possible!

I guess it's how far do we allow oursleves to worry?

Dog's teeth are designed to crunch and rip, as you know.

I do have one question though if you don't mind my asking it - WHY are you mincing the carcasses?

Bump for people who get stuck in the "apology" thread.

    Hi DA

"Bump" means posting in a thread, just to get it moved to the top of the active threads lists.

I was getting a bit tired of the apology thread being moved to the top of the list by people discussing stuff completely unrelated and then other people who hadn't read the WHOLE thread posting again about stuff that had been sorted days ago and really ought to be allowed to rest.

Does that make any sense? I suppose I really ought to just pretend I don't see it but it was bugging me because I felt it was a bit like dogs eating their own vomit, and bringing the tone down after we had just pulled it up.

I'm thinking I ought to bump the chat place thread for wandering discussions about nothing in particular and everything in general.

So - back to topic - how is Inca this evening?

God, sound like a queero saying that - well, you know what I mean. Lol.
Wouldn't worry too much about sounding that way DA, my first question to OH the last couple of days when I get home from work has been "How was Charlie's poo today?" (Charlie has gastro too)

I hope the lovely girl feels better soon I'm sure she be right in no time though

How's Charlie going C&B's mum? Is his gastro under control now, or still getting there?

No worries, Hy. Yep, see what you mean. Like flogging a dead horse, yes?

The antibiotics are working nicely, he's almost completely back to being his usual self - fighting with his sister, stealing food (little b*****d), etc. And his poos are good LOL

DA can I ask which vet you go to? (You can PM me the answer if you prefer)
