    Default Puppy Progress

    Hi all,

Just a quick post to let you all know that I have a man coming to look at one of the pups at lunchtime today.

He has owned a staffy before and is in the market for another as his boy was recently hit by a car RIP

I haven't even advertised pups yet as they are only 5 weeks old and Im not willing to let them go until after 8 weeks.....maybe a little longer for Inka and Kibou. It was pure coincidence that a women commented on Bailey at the Bottle shop drive through and asked if I was thinking of breeding...I said no she is desexed.....She went on to explain one of her customers was after a staffy pup etc. I told her about Mullys litter and gave her my phone number.

I am a little wary of this fella as I have spoken to him on the phone many times now. He seems a little bit um how to explain ..."homer simpson ish?!"
I have asked him to bring some photos of his staffy boy, backyard etc as I want to feel sure that the pup will be looked after etc.

I am more so wary as he is interested in a specific colour! He is after a tiger brindle which some of the pups are. He wants this specifically as this is the colour of his RIP staffy. I hope he goes for more so personality etc

So lots of questions to come from both me and him. I can only hope lots of answers too. I have printed lots of info on BSL laws etc and have explained a little on the phone to him.

    Wish me luck Fingers Crossed

If you have any suggestions on things to ask this bloke please feel free to post. I would appreciate it.

I will continue to use this thread for updates on all the puppies progress

The obvious things are to me is he interested in one of the girls? Say the boys are sold. If he has no interest in the girls it could be because he already has a girl at home?

Conditions of sale are desexing, don't be afraid to ask a fair price and give cash back on proof of desexing.

Yes ask for photo's, say you want a deposit then ask for name, address etc that way you can drive past and have a sticky beak. Does he rent?

Really bung it on by that I mean, say because of all the bad press this breed gets you are being extra careful, that's why all the questions. Have your husband speak to him on the phone too, two head are better than one.

In the end if you don't feel comfortable don't do it.

    Thanks guys

He would prefer a boy and when I asked why he explained it is because he has only ever had boy dogs.

He doesn't have a dog atm.

He owns his own home and live in Pt Wakefield so rural area. lots of space to run.

I have spoken to OH about the cash back on desexing thing. He is fine with it which is good. I am thinking $450 and then $150 back on proof of desexing or maybe a $100 back? any ideas guys?

I will certainly get name, address, phone number etc and deposit if he picks a certain pup. And will take a drive to have a look at his place.

I hope I will get a "feeling" about him and will be able to make a decision by that.

Brad has spoken with him on the phone. and wasn't getting good vibes even asked that I get my mate to come over whilst the guy is here JUST IN CASE?! because Brad works 7 days a week atm. unfortunately mate couldnt be here but Il be fine. Im a tough girl lol

Il let you all know how it goes he should be here soon...

How did his dog get hit by a car? Excaped the leash? Soemhow escaped from his yard?

By Homer Simpsonish, do you mean he sounds like a dumb prick?

Who'd sell a dog to a dumb prick?

Seriously, if you have some vibes happening, then you have some vibes happening, Judge.

    Not so great

No way is he getting a pup from me.

Only interested in colour and his last dog didnt have the best history poor boy

He lives at a wrecking yard and his last boy was hit by a B double, forklift, car and had a car lifted and lowered on top of him. He was eventually hit by a sedan and passed away.

He doesnt believe in vaccinating or tetnus shots etc and that is SOOOOO IMPORTANT especially living in a wrecking yard!

He thinks Im full of crap when it comes to BSL! Stupid arrogant man!

yep think that bout sums it up!

Anyway fingers crossed XXX for next time

WOW. What a ******* moron. The sad thing is, he'll probably just go find one somewhere else.

See... your instincts were spot on Judge. Keep listening to them and you'll do just fine I'm sure
