The thread was not about her biting technically (it was about how strong her jaw is, which i have noticed when she chews toys etc. and the question was on wether this was part of the breed)

If the comments had stuck to the question being asked, its all good.
    Did they what is then?

Thanks to everyone else who had nice helpful comments
I already apologised for seeming rude but I am honestly just trying to help you and your dog

I had the same welcome and know how it feels....but am now very educated on the matter and am only trying to pass the knowledge on.

Any unpaper Am Staff (pure or X breed) is classed as an APBT and your council has brushed you off the same as mine did

It doesnt mean she wont be a lovely companion. I love my girl to pieces and wouldn't give her up for anything

Unfortunately it doesn't matter what your council tells you now. If for some reason your dog comes under scrutiny by the council they WILL ask you for papers and if you cannot provide them she will be put to sleep.

Honestly Im trying to help you......please take my advice

Don't bother Judge. You did not do anything wrong. You are a lovely lady trying to do some good. The OP has stated that in her state the puppy is not included in BSL. You certainly weren't rude, all I meant was it was a bit negative. But you were not rude.

I find it amusing when ppl post a thread, then feel they have the right to close it whenever they see fit.

A thread is a thread is a thread...oh FGS, someone stop me!

OP, I believe some dogs jaws are far stronger than others. It depends on their breed greatly, their character and their temperament.

Yeh I was told the same thing by my council until I actually done some research on the regulations of BSL in Australia.

And also with some much needed help from members here

Unfortunately your council will tell you this and then they will be the first to put their hands up if your dog comes under scrutiny

    Oh Judge that is terrible.

Just to let you know, despite my fear I would never hesitate to play rough and tumble with your babies and have lots of kisses. With an owner like you, they must be kind and sweet natured darling.

I've requested thread be closed when it turned into out and out abuse. But I agree with you, unless the thread is breaking forum rules, it should not be closed.
