Just a quick question. I was just wondering if a papered Am Staff was crossed with a Lab. I know, unlikely scenario. Would the offspring still be classed as a pit bull under the BSL? I thought a pit bull was an unpapered Am Staff.

I find the whole thing very confusing.

Based on what I've read about councils enforcing the BSL - any dog that is an AmStaff x is a pitbull as far as they're concerned and they treat it accordingly - but only if it comes to their attention for attacking a person or dog etc. And given this thread is about an AmStaff x biting...

I do wonder people like katey_charm who come onto an open forum and ask for people's opinions and then chuck a hissy fit when they get them. If you don't want to know, don't ask. I also wonder at someone who accuses another of "lack of respect" or "being rude" when the other has already apologised for any misunderstanding their post might have caused. I think I'd like a "I've got a really thin skin and am prone to over-reacting" warning for people like this.

I rang the councils in my area, they said that and amstaff x is not considered a pitbull??

The thread was not about her biting technically (it was about how strong her jaw is, which i have noticed when she chews toys etc. and the question was on wether this was part of the breed)

If the comments had stuck to the question being asked, its all good.
