NILIF - nothing in life is free.

Everything she gets, she gets from you. Her food, her water, EVERYTHING> You are the total controller, and she must work for a scrap of anything she gets, be it food, attention, play whatever...

That's good advice, but I'm worried that she won't get the message. She's super smart, already knows loads of tricks, so she should get it, but if that doesn't work, then I'm nowhere. I'll give it a shot though. You guys have been so helpful, thanks heaps.

No, you're not "nowhere." You just have to start again if it doesn't work. Don't expect miracles overnight. God, I sound like that Pantene ad, don't I??? Sorry. Lol.

Your worry or fear that she won't learn must be put aside. She will also sense your emotions clearly. You must realise you are the boss, and this IS going to owrk, Bonnie, do you understand me, Bonnie!!!
There, now off you go and sort her out.

    And BTW, good luck.

Striker, being she is a smart dog she will pick it up quickly but you have to be consistant...

I have a smart dog too if I stay consistant she learns quicker then if i mess around.

DA is very true stop rewarding her as you might be rewarding the wrong behaviour eg.. rolling on back and baring tummy could be her way of saying PAT ME! she is dictating the behaviour therefore not submitting to you... Stop rewarding that behaviour...

Maybe Punish and then ignore for a bit, may work better for you...

YOU need to be Strong and not let this little cute puppy push You around. YOU are your packs leader NOT her.

I haven't read all the replies, but I'd suggest trying a spray bottle - spraying her face with water when she bites. Worked for Keeda and I when she was in her nibbling-biting stage.

hi guys I am much happier, it is working pretty well, although she seems a bit confused and is sulking. I think I will continue to use this method to break the aggressive cycle. Thanks for the help guys - could not have done it without you -

Of course she's confused! Lol. You are not playing her game the way she is used to. Bad mum has changed the rules!

Great news. Kepp it up, consistency is the key.

HA! Success! She hasn't snarled at me once since the treatment... This is the one I'm gonna use. The rain's a bit annoying, we can't do ANYTHING, but otherwise, I can not thank you guys enough!

Well done Striker! You must be feeling very proud of yourself. Keep it up though, until the lesson has REALLY sunken in for Bonnie.
