Thanks Disney. She does sound like the one for me. Must say, I didn't go today expecting at all to choose a female. I'm still surprised at the outcome.

Some of you may remember that I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to waltz on in and get one of these pups. Well...

Breeder explained today that the original family rang her the other day stating they had changed their minds and would take the pup after all.

They were told, weren't they. I know breeder now has no intention of ever selling that family a puppy of hers, and I agree.

Oh you are soooooo lucky DA not only to be able to play with all the pups but to be able to take one home. If the little girl "Spot" is yours to be then it will be.

I remember when I was looking on the rescue site for my new dog I came across one called Shelley, for reason's I won't go into I felt that she was MINE and I wanted her badly. I went and saw her a few times but was told that she was not mine to have ( i also won't go into the reasoning behind that, but after much thought I also agreed she wasn't meant to be with me) I however did keep in touch with the organisation and they gave my details to the new owner of Shelley. We now keep in touch on a regular basis I still get to see her and I went on to adopt Millie, who is the best dog I could ask for. I cried a bucket of tears when I realised that Shelley was not meant to be but I also cried a bucket of tears when I brought Millie home.

Life has a funny way of working and the dog that is YOUR dog will be the one you bring home.

All fingers and toes crossed that the wife in this situation gets her way and Spot comes you DA. Do you have a back up plan or are you completely smitten?

    They are GORGEOUS pups.

And Cate - I think I may have met Shelley... if it's the same girl I'm thinking of I had a few moments where I thought of taking her home...
So I can sympathise. Sometimes we think something is right and it just doesn't work out. It's usually a sign that it's not and we're just being stubborn... Things work out better another way eventually.
