I can only assume that none of you own mixed breed dogs??? and that obviously you all come from middle to wealthy homes? ever had a little kid and thought hmmm, I think bub would love a pup, coz who can deny that having a dog is a wonderful thing for a child and the dogs love being a little boy or girls shadow. There is no way in hell that i can afford a breeders pup, and also no way in hell i would buy a pup/dog from the pound that may have underlying, health or personality issues to do with past treatment or breed issues. my family has always got their dogs from friends and family as you have a well known history from people you know and trust of these dogs behavioural and congentital issues. not to mention mixed breed dogs do not have half of the health problems that pure bred ones do. piece of paper or not i will not pay $1200 for a family pet only to have someone tell me that i can not breed my own dog and that i have to have her or his insides ripped out, cut up or just plain hacked off. and you all think that this is in the best interest of your dogs???? all of my dogs get vaccinated, frontlined and very well treated so i do not stint on them in any way, why do people have to be breed snobs?? Though i do agree, if anyone grabbed my dog I would be verrryy angry. that is my 2 cents.

yes i asked about breeding my dog on this website, She is my dog and I have not mutilated her by desexing her and I am sure both of us would appreciate the chance for her puppies, i have also had lots of those people you are all talking about inquire about pups and would have homes for all of them, should she mate. thank you for your concern.

Goodness me, did you take an angry pill this morning?

I'm sure you will have no problem finding a mate for your bitch. Just open the gate and let her out midway through her next season. When your unmutilated bitch returns home she is sure to be pregnant and will produce lots of puppy dog babies to share with your family and friends.

My Kelpie is from the pound/shelter.
Im a vet nurse and myself and my boss/vet have health tested her and she is 100% healthy.
Not all shelter dogs are abandoned because they have something wrong with them, a lot of the time, its the 'owner' that has something wrong with them.
Too much energy, not enought money, not enough time, kids losing interest, moving into a house where pets arnt allowed etc.
Do you really think the RSPCA would try to rehome an aggressive dog? Or whatever personality problems your thinking of.
I swear its possible Lady was bred from a breeder, she is a perfect Kelpie, does everything she's meant too, looks exactly how shes meant too.
Where do you think these shelter dogs were bred? Why would someone who spends thousands on a dog from a registered, responsible breeder let it get to a shelter?
These dogs in shelters are those $300 Pugaliers bred by BYB. These dogs that are so much healthier and safer than the ones that are in shelters.
Shelter are only for the messed up dogs.
The whole 'mixed dogs have better health that purebreds' is not completely true, but I really cant be bothered to explain.
Do you not know anyone that has spent hundreds, if thousands of dollars on that 'family dog' that has hip/elbow displasia, heart murmurs etc.
I do, I deal with them on a regular basis, these dogs that were only bred for pets, doesnt really matter, they dont have to be award winning. Right?
You may as well have bought that $1200 dog that has been TESTED for these health problems.
Vaccination and Frontlining means jack in the world of breeding.
I really cannot agree on ANYTHING you just posted and im surprised no one has jumped down your throat earlier.

I really need to stop posting essays on this forum

The typical Aussie attitude that the family dog should have some pups, will never change. Only the other day I was chatting to a guy with an eleven year old Beagle and a younger looking dog of mixed breeding. During our 'doggie' conversation he informed me the younger dog was the son of the Beagle from her last litter twelve months ago. Shocked, I asked him why he didn't have the old Beagle speyed years ago and did she 'get out' by accident. His reply shocked me further, he said he didn't believe in having dogs 'done' and she only ever visited the same dog down the road anyway, a Border Collie mix who belonged to friends of his. Then he said she didn't get pregnant every year but when she did he had no problem in getting rid of the pups to people.

deej211, after reading your post one word comes to mind -IDIOT ! You have a LOT to learn about dogs and dog people, namely breeders. You obviously haven't heard about the dreadful problems that can and do happen to dogs if they are not speyed or castrated. Things like pyometra in bitches or prostate cancers in dogs for example.
One more thing too, you are incredibly ignorant if you truly believe dogs of mixed breeding have fewer problems.

    IDIOT !

    Boyfriend for Hani (55-60kg Girl)
Hi I am looking for a Bandog or Mastiff X Male in the FNQ area to mate with my neo, bandog x Bullmastiff X Bitch. She is a lovely dark brindle girl, weighing close to 60kg, with long legs fo a mastiff, very friendly. I am looking for someone around mid nov to mid dec.

    This was the original post.

It was pretty obvious the writer was not genuine. If he/she does in fact live in FNQ the place is crawling with Piggers and Pig Dogs. He/she could have found a mate for the bitch simply by walking down the street or asking at the local pub.

I don't know what prompted todays odd little outburst but it was so silly I felt it wasn't worthy of a sensible reply.

Yep well , chances are he's never coming back now so there goes the chance to maybe educate him a little more and perhaps even help him see things differently .
