    Default So tired.

Ok i have a concern over Bella and the amount of time she spends asleep, no soon as she had her breakfast than shes off to bed again, wakes up spends half hour playing etc then it's bed time again?
My other staffs over the years at ten weeks did sleep but not like old lazy bones Bella, should i be concerned?

She shows no outward ailments runs/walks/moves normally her motions are normal her wee is normal colour wet nose good bright eyes?

Puppies generally have 2 speeds - flat out or asleep ! Their sleep patterns will vary from day to day and also as they get older. Don't forget that some adult dogs can also sleep 15 - 20 hrs per day.

If you haven't had a pup in your life for a while - then the amount they can sleep can be astounding ! Anything up to ~ 20 hrs per day. They have a lot of growing to do - so sleep is the best thing for them.

As long as pup is eating /drinking/toileting well, up to date with worming - then all should be OK.

When your pup is playing - is it full on ? Is pup playing with you ?

If you are very concerned - please take the pup to a vet.

Thanks Riley, yeah shes full on play when awake, just stops drops and snores lol, any chance she gets shes up on my shoulder under my chin (i know) but shes so cute lol, snores like me after ten pints ha ha.

Thinking about our other pups years ago they did sleep a lot, just seems Bellas over doing it, that or i am just jealous.

When I first saw the title of your thread - I thought it was going to be you saying you are sooooo tired !

We do tend to forget what our previous pups were actually like ! I know that I am suffering from that problem at the moment.

But as you said - they are cute !

Could be that you are jealous of the pup being able to sleep so easily ! I know I am - with the 'shark' I have at my place !

I don't think anyone would survive their puppies if the puppies didn't sleep a lot.

Funny how we forget what puppy hood was like...

OMG that's a cute pic! I love that my puppy sleeps so much, one it means I don't feel as guilty when both me and OH are at work and two she at her cutest when she's all droopy. We've found that if she gets over tired she's like a little cranky toddler and just bites constantly so we know she needs to be put to bed.
