As this topic is a question on crate training which I have never done before..crate put up today and bedding in it prepared. Few treats in on the bedding. Let in the 3 hounds and waited for them to spot it and investigate. They did, said crate each time and treated. Pretty could not fit in as the 3rd dog in it. The others quickly decided that if I moved a muscle in the loungeroom, they ran and sat in the crate and waited, that they would get a treat. Good start.
Periodically they go in and I say crate. Treats will be random soon. Next step in some days when it has become a piece of the furniture and commonplace to them I will have them inside individually and put them in, closed door with a kong in there and see how they will go.

Hahahaha, Bandit, my scared of anything new most fearful dog is asleep in the crate (door open)
Must be comfy as hubby won't let him on the couch yet.

I'm raiding my home wine supply for tomorrow's sad family gathering and while I'm in the spare room, evil hound sneaks in behind me and raids the roo jerky. Fishes out a piece for herself and runs into her crate and demolishes it before I can catch up.

And then, she goes and checks to see if she can snaffle any more. Naughty dog. At least it was her own food she nicked this time.
