Thread: Puppys and Xmas trees do not go together right?

Default Puppys and Xmas trees do not go together right?

Oh Boy what fun! Lots of fun and games in this household. I've only put baubles up on the tree this year so it's looking very sparse. But tinsel and flashing lights are just too enticing to Roley. So are the baubles, they look just too much like nice bouncy balls. So up to now we've managed to get 3 decorations out of his mouth before they are totally ruined. I've got to have the tree and Christmas train out for my grandchildren they would be devastated it they weren't there.

So what does everyone else do at this time?

My dogs are outside dogs so i don't have this problem. But if my dogs were inside, i'd be putting a wire barrier around the tree. I love having my christmas tree up and i always love filling it with decorations so for me a barrier would be the best option

You gotta see Fairview's post of dogs "putting" the decorations on the tree...

I am amazed that this year Maggie has totally ignored the tree, it is like it isn't there. Last year she drove me nuts stealing decorations and going under it and tangling herself into the tinsel..

All I've got up is a wreath.

Kodi would be fine with a Christmas tree but Zeus i wouldn't trust. He's just gotten out of the chew everything to pieces stage so i didn't want to tempt him with shiny baubles and tinsel.
Maybe next year I'll put a tree up.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them. ~Phil Pastoret

Lol no suggestions other than a fence around it? lol I thought our cat would be all over it but the baby has been into it more than she has

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.
