    Question Peeing Inside

Why does Rosie like to pee inside?

She can be out side all day but as soon as she comes inside she does a pee

Candy used to love doing this also....I'd growl and say 'naughty girl' at her the whole time I cleaned it up while she sat and watched me...she's excellent now...she's 10 months and hasn't pee'd inside since she was 6 months

    It's frustrating isn't it?

Make sure if you do see her pee outside that you make a huge big deal out of it - pick a word for peeing that you will always use for it (I say "hurry up" to mine) and if she does go, say it over and over along with "good girl!!", lots of praise and cuddles etc and she gets to come inside. If she goes inside, just an ah-ah, or no and carry her straight back outside. If she goes again outside make sure you let her know she is the best puppy in the world!

She'll get the idea that outside is good, inside is bad 'cause she doesn't get much attention at all - good or bad - for going inside.

It drives you nuts, doesn't it?
I'm in the same situation as Ozeymum; Lola is 10months old and peeing outside only since she was 6 months. I got her at 4 months so I had 2 months of peeing inside.
    This is what I did;
Take her outside every few 2-3 hours and walk around with her. If she did anything, make the hugest fuss.( praise, cuddles, treats)
If she did anything inside I'd growl and tell her she was a bad girl.
    Desexing really helped too
    Also
it can be her marking her territory
    excitment of being/coming inside
don't forget their tiny bladders can't hold for very long
-I've heard that you shouldn't let the pup see you clean the mess-don't know if it's true
-There's sprays out there eg. urine-off but i've never used one so can't comment
I'd make a real effort to praise her and make a real fuss when she does it outside and then it's all about time and patience.
    Good Luck

    Hi,

I have had ou puppies for a few days now, and one thing I have found helps is taking them outside if they have an accident and then clean it up and spray with white vinegar. Aparently it masks the smell so they don't go in th same place, works well fo me.
