Default What Do I Need Too?

Sorry Occy, but you stole my title before I could get back on LOL
I am getting a new puppy in less than 2 weeks time, and am looking for some guidance into what is need for her.
I am not going to show her - she is a Golden Retriever
What I've got so far is:

    1/ the dog! LOL

Please keep in mind that she's my first dog, so I have NO idea!
    Thanks in advance.

OK - you WONT need everything I do - I am getting a dog for show and possibly herding and obedience work but you will need

    1. bowls for food and water - avoid plastic
    2. toys - avoid plastic and stuff made in china
    3. leads/collars - the guy at the watertower makes really nice leads and will make stuff to order too
    4. dog training - sign up for puppy school - best to do it at the vet you intend to use if they have classes - there is a dog school in Albury too - they train sun morning I think
    5. A crate - i wont have a pup again without a crate and a puppy pen - for my sanity and that of my other dogs

I have budgeted around 1200 for my pup and 1200 again for accessories

I need to go up to the pet shop for some fish food - happy to meet you there and talk through some of their products with you.

Good list Occy, I would add a dog bed, and a kennel if the pup is going to be outside for any period of time.
Newspaper- lots of newspaper to mop up 'accidents'.
    Food and treats
if it's very cold where you are perhaps a coat?

    What I got for Mia:

    Metal food bowl.
    Genius toys.
    Puppy kong toys.
Soft adjustable collar and light lead (if your pup is anything like Mia, she'll lose the plot when you put her on a lead for the first few times).
I'm crate training Mia, and its the best thing EVER... never done it before, would never be without it in the future. So I got a crate for her.
A bed, I got one from K-mart, cost $10 and its like a cushion type one, it wont last her forever, but I was just erring on the side of caution in case she toileted on it, or chewed it up.
A big bag of quality food (Mia is on Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy, but the food depends on preference).
    Pigs Ears.

I'd make sure you have lots of safe chew toys for her... coz puppies chew ALOT!!

And as Occy suggested, I can't recommend Puppy Pre School enough!!! Mia is going to the one at our vet.
