Thread: Sick puppy, has anyone else had similar

    Bad luck, bad timing I think. Pups her age are most susceptible, April through June is the worst time and especially after heavy rain which we've just had. All good though now we hope. She is so much better, almost walking normally, can even run so fingers crossed nothing permanent. So much difference in a week.

    It's a wonder any dog survives in Brisbane...

    Cane toads, ticks, snakes and now snails and slugs - eek.

    I admit my dog has never seemed the least bit interested in slugs. I always thought those were edible (non toxic) too. Like the French do.

    Maggie ate a new packet of talon at about 12 weeks ( in someone else's house who I thought would have known better).. story elsewhere.. but I know it took me a few weeks to really believe she was OK. Your heart gets wrung out and it takes a while for it to regain its normal shape.

    Gross, and my OH is always joking about how he will eat one
