Default New Kelpie x Terrier puppy 'Indie'

Hey all I'm a new member here and just wanted to ask if anyone had experience/ info on my breed of puppy? I am ESPECIALLY interested if anyone knows what size Indie might grow to? I am really hoping for her to reach 10+ kilo's.. is that a possibility?

    Background info:

She was only 2.2kg at 9 weeks when I got her-- I think she was the runt. I don't know what breed of terrier the mother was but I have a picture if anyone's interested. She eats about 1+1/4 cups dry food a day plus a small amount (1/2 cup) wet food. She usually has 2-3 30 minute energy bursts a day and sleeps the rest. She's flead and wormed and already attending puppy pre-school.

Welcome, she is a cutie. I suspect you will have to wait and see. By the time she gets to 6 months you will have a fair idea.

I agree with what Farrview said, but i am pretty confident that she would at least reach 10kg.
My pure bred Kelpie is very small compared to any other kelpies i've ever seen and she's 15kg

I don't know if it's a standard thing, but my vet just inspected my puppy and predicted her size. That was only a week ago though so time will tell if he's right!

Your girl looks like she'll be much smaller than an average kelpie though and will perhaps take on more of her mother's terrier traits and end up being on the stockier side.
    She's really cute!!

My working bred kelpie is 49 cms at the shoulder and weighs about 16 kg if that is any help. Your puppy is much shorter in the leg than a working bred kelpie - mine is all legs. So you would expect her to be shorter but possibly a little stockier.

    She is very cute.
