she doesn't like strangers in the house touching her but out in the street she's fine with anyone patting her
I'll try that one based on how I feel as a human.

There are people I don't mind talking to out in the street where nothing is mine, it's shared territory, not my stuff. But some of those people - no way would I be comfortable with them in my house.

My female GSD is now 21 weeks old! She's the complete opposite to how she was at 10-14 weeks! She is now quite the playful pup with regular guests, but listens to my every word. Very clever, very obedient and becoming a terrific watch dog!

I've noticed that she doesn't like strangers in the house touching her but out in the street she's fine with anyone patting her! What could be the reason for this?

    Thanks
Great to hear she's coming along nicely for you, GSDs are very protective of the family they love...even from a young age in her house and yard. What she's doing is perfectly normal and when she is much older you say this stranger is alright then she will accept them but she'll still keep an eye on them just in case.

I think there is more room outside, than in your house. The escape route is unimpaired outside, inside its fraught with blocks and you to guard, its all too much to bear.
