Default Sherlock Pup's first swim - puppy love

Sherlock pup took his first swim in the lake today. (16wks Airedale x) And swam for the first time. His ball was out of reach, and he swam for it, then with it.
My two were in there swimming already which helped with the motivation to get right in, not stand in water at edge.

I must say, being a puppy's grandmother is bringing me lots of wonderful days lately. All the joy of the pup, but hand him back at the end of the day.

Im shattered. Ive forgotten that you need eyes in the back of your head. I'm sat on the loo in the en suite, and notice there are there are teeny tiny paw prints in my shower. He's been everywhere in the house it seems.

He's absolutely smitten with bernie the gsd. Very respectful though when bernie puts his foot down over something. he's constantly biting at the moment. And given several dog versions of the cuff around the ear. Pohm likes to snuggle the pup and they share her bed when he is here. bernie is NOT giving his bed to no short arse pup.
But pup ignores it all, and keeps on coming. He is relentless. He was stealing my broom, and even a loud "aggh" , loud hand claps, "No" and you get doughnuts. He just runs off faster with the broom. I tried my fail safe, the tin of screws dropped on the floor, and he doesnt give a rats. We are out for a hours walk off leash. He was swimming for 20 mins. He then walks 1k home with my son. who has forgotten his key, and walks pup 1k back. Mine are laying in the sun, dosing whilst they dry off. Sherlock pup is still going!

    concentration span of 5 seconds.

I feel uplifted, from spending my day with dogs. Just wanted to share that. They are awesome creatures to share your life with.

I now have basket of my shoes to put away. and some strewn soggy wet toilet roll to pick off the grass

I had a gardener come over to give me a quote the other day. She was doing ok until she made some mention about her not liking pets. So now she won't be getting my money because I simply do not trust people who don't like pets!

    Good judgement Beloz.
My pets have always been a excellent judge of character, i would trust them over my instinct and leave a persons presence if the dogs were not happy in that persons company.

Ive even had a bordercollie that could diagnose schizophrenia seemingly. Marvelous assessment skills that dog had. He was real asset to me in my job.

Here are some photos of Bernie playing with Sherlock pup. While Pohm the bitch took to him like a duck to water. bernie has stood back, being grumpy grandad. Till last week.
For some reason (loss of puppy licence) Friday last week was pack it in NOW day, for both of mine to the pup. All that mouthing, biting their faces, stopped dead. He's got the message loud a clear. You bite, we rough you up a bit.
