awww mia is wonderful, can i pretend she is gypsie coz gypsie is a one year old rescue so we didnt see her as a baby??!! =( by the way she looks bigger than gyps already but then most sheps are... we think her being starved( or close to it) from a young age stunted her growth...thinking about taking her to GSD club but she isnt good with other dogs (because she wasnt socialised from puppy hood) any suggestions about who i could call in regards to this?

Is it all other dogs, or just some she has an issue with? Have you spoken to your vet? Maybe start off slowly, introducing her to just a couple of dogs at a time? Let her have good experiences and gradually move up from there? I don't usually go to the GSD club, I go to a mixed breeds obedience club... but I do pop into the Shepherd club now and then (the problem is that the class for Mia at the GSD club is on at the same time as Jack and Molly's training.... and try as I might I haven't yet mastered being in two places at the same time lol....) PM me if I can help!

hey occy and goodies...sorry ive taken so long to get back to you, gyps is fine with other dogs if im not there but is very very protective of me. if she is with my partner (apparently) she just ignores them her hackels go up a little bit he says. but with me she is snarly and she just bristles. when we first got her she would socialise well with other dogs ( she was a bit bossy) but would be happy to play, but all of a sudden i cant trust her with other dogs, there was no bad inccident that turned her she just became unfriendly. she was abused pretty bad before we got her and not socialised at all, she is 1 year old. she is very friendly with people however,,,, its just a hard problem to fix becuase who wants to risk their doggy getting hurt so i can try to socialise her?????
and even though im very experienced with dogs i just couldnt handle her hurting another pooch
