    Default husky X mastiff UP-DATE

ok so as some of you know the guy over the road from me dog's have just had a litter of puppies husky (mum) X mastiff (dad)

anyway so they owner of the dog's is having to move and will temperately be living in a hotel until they can get there new place so the dog's and pups had no where to go

So me and my OH have taken them in as I really did not want them the end up in the pond or re homed two early so the owner said that we can have one of the puppies for looking after them till they get a new house

So I might be getting a new puppy

    Hi Shedeivl

I hope you get this agreement in writing. Maybe I've been watching too much Judge Judy, but I'd hate for you to end up with all the dogs and puppies permanently with no legal right to do anything with them.

I would also be quietly suggesting that maybe they consider getting the bitch desexed and that organisations like AWL will desex the bitch in exchange for the puppies - which they then desex and sell to cover costs and reduce the chance of more pound puppies.

These puppies will be nothing like a BC to train. Eeek.

I do realize that the pup will be nothing like a BC but this pup will be my OH I'll hopefully get my dog in the future

I trying to get them to DE-sex the dog's but not being very successful so far I'll talk to them again about it

Sometimes you have to plant an idea and give it time to grow. It make take them not being able to find homes for these puppies - to do it. I thought your OH wanted a GSD? Aren't you going to be the one at home most of the day with it?
