Thread: Moving from Qld to Tas

It snows on a couple of the mountains, mainly Ben Lomond and Cradle Mountain, the rest of the state is just really, really cold during winter

I have never been to QLD but apparently our summers feel a lot hotter. 30c here feels like about 40c in QLD because we are so close to the ozone hole. We have some gorgeous beaches and quite often even on a boiling hot day you will be the only person for miles, love taking the dogs for a romp on the sand.

I don't know about the paper mills, there is a new one starting up in the near future. People protested it so it kept getting pushed back further and further but apparently it's all still going ahead.

I love empty beaches. You get that in NZ too. You can go down the beach and be the only one for miles so ya can let ya naughty dogs go hard LOL

I would agree about the heat too, in NZ, 30 degrees is much hotter than 30 degrees in QLD...you just dont get 30 degrees that often LMAO

well I have called the real estate and we are prepared to put our house on the market ..
I have to do some general cleaning/ gardening though..
The real estate says he may have someone interested and I said he is not to bring
anyone over until I give the go ahead..
With a BIG dog pooping and peeing herself and I have to hose out the garage
every morning from pups, this is a real nightmare...
I am a very clean person but at the moment I would die if someone came over...

Know the feeling Lucky, puppies can be very "messy" little poppets and with mum recouperating you will face an uphill battle if someone wants to come for a look. Selling your house without pups is bad enough...I wish you luck, and very exciting time for you.

I went to Tassie for a long w/e

er, the scenery, and potential acreage is gorgeous!

The 'stuff to do' side of things sucked badly. 2hrs in a car to go see a bridge? are you kidding me. Ive lived in houses older than that bridge, i wasnt bowled over.

And having to fly back/forth, that's the sort of thing that would smart after a while i bet.

Im well up for "Right, that's enough of that, all change!" lifestyle changes. As i type as a migrant to Aus from england. Getting itchy feet again though.
    Time for an adventure!

    Good luck
    im slightly envious

All our kids are so very excited..They ask every night now.
    How long till we go..
Infact my daughter just text me from work and says,
do you think we will travel first or just head straight to Tassie ??

They are all ready for a change lol.
I'm a wee bit nervous to sell our home as we do have a beautiful place.
But it's time to make some serious changes ..

If you need a clean house for a few hours for a potential buyer to look through, I am more than happy to pick up ALL the puppies and babysit them at my place for a few hours LOL

You just might not get them back LOL
