Default Getting wet in QLD ?

Well surprise, surprise. I've woken up to it pooring rain again ! Thank God i'm not working this week in this weather.

I spoke to my mate on the Gold Coast last night and he said it's been heavy for days, much worse than what we are copping up here.

Nothing compared to last years flooding rain but the news this morning said the sunny coast is starting to flood.

How are the rest of the QLDers going? Cabin fever setting in yet ?

We are stuck in today, the road going to the highway has been closed due to flooding! The dogs are starting to get cabin fever!

I don't mind, means no work for me! Lol didn't have any work yesterday because my car is a shitter and was playing up and I won't have work tomorrow or friday either!

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

Our area is flooded, just one end of our road is closed due to flooding (much to OH's dismay, he was hoping for both ends to close lol) dogs are definitely going crazy! they were lucky enough to get a short walk yesterday morning, but no walk for them lastnight or this morning, just too heavy

Yup nice and wet down here. It is close to as bad as last year...and the worst part they haven't let any water out of dams yet (sound familiar much!).

This is the local stormwater channel...usually a trickle it is about 3 metres up now and flooding one of the main roads as well as paddocks/parks etc, this is just one small area the drain runs for a fair way through the park where I walk my dogs etc(sadly I have way to many routes to get to work I cant get stuck in!)

    Bummer about your downstairs area.

Also if it gets worse and you need help or need a hand with anything please let me know I am only 10 minutes from where you live.

Gee wizz, since i posted this i've been into town shopping with the hits and misses. The drains where a trickle on the way in. Coming home they are a lot like some of K&P'S photo's. We have organised a huge Australia Day carnival with the neighbour hood watch for tomorrow........it's not looking good. Go away rain. Thank god the skids are back at school, they do my head in when they are stuck inside. Should be a interesting few days ahead.
