I'd much prefer genuine people who are "you get what you see" types.. it saves confusion then LOL

Wanna see the latest gang up???

me-The vet I nurse at has recently started dog grooming, we had our first clip job today, a little Maltesey type names Oliver.
I have never had anything to do with clipping or shaving, 9owning kelpies and JRTs) but after Olivers clip, he looked pink, like it was too short.
    Is that normal?
Did the groomer do it too short?

someone else- Was the dog matted? and what type of haircut did the owners request?

me-Well the dog was very spoilt so Im assuming he didnt have any matts, I dont work with the groomers so Im not sure what they asked for, I just wanted a few thoughts, nothing majorly important! :P

someone else#2- If she was spoiled chances are more that she was matted...
People want the cutesy little dogs with fur that are fluffy and adorable as puppies but don't want to deal with the brushing.

me-Hmmmm not exactly, a fluffy spoilt dog usually gets attention and a dog that goes to the groomers, are probly looked after pretty well!

someone else#3-But normally not brushed very often. working in a grooming shop I see all the spoiled dogs, if they cry when being brushed their owners will stop, if they try to bite while getting their nails done, owners will stop. which leads to a matted over grown nail spoiled dog who doesnt like to be groomed, which is even more reason for them to bring them to a groomers.

someone else#2-Thank you, I love being told how it is by someone who doesn't work in the pofession. Thanks for the negative rep, I'm going to assume it's from lilya.
Go learn something about dogs like I said before and don't tell me how it is when I have more experience then you.
I wasn't being negative I was telling you how it is.

    me-Excuse me!!!
    I did NO such thing!

I dont give reputation points, positive or negative, and as far as i know, it is not allowed to talk about points but I assure you it wasnt me so Id appreciate it if you didnt assume Im the one giving you bad rep points. Maybe someone else doesnt agree with what you said.
I work as a freaking vet nurse! I think I have a pretty good idea at how to look after your **** sick dogs!

Im very upset at that accusation..
I swear you have it in for me...

This same person is always having a go at me, for NUMEROUS things and what I say is how I post on here. Im not rude, im friendly and like to think of myself as helpful.
I dont know why they hate me so much..

*hugs* maybe they are jealous? That's what mum used to say to me when kids picked on me at school anyway LOL

That reputation point system is weird. If I ran a forum you would only be able to give positive

I guess we need to recruit as many people as we can to this forum so we don't need to go back to the nasty ones.. although I am banned from the "other one" so I can't go back even if I wanted to LOL

Its that type of thing all the time.
I say stuff like that and tthey crack it.

Talk about making generalisations. I find that offensive and narrow minded and I am not even an American.

Yes, I found it offensive as well.

I've been a very active member of three American groups and found most of the people very pleasant. I was one of only three Australian members on the two Deerhound ones but I made some wonderful friends.

If the other members of the group are so annoying the answer is simple. Don't waste your time with them.

I have found the same with the Pug forums Deerhound. Many Pug forums are made up of mainly Americans and I find them extremely warm, helpful and with loads of experience in general.
