    Default Movie reviews...

    JUst watched "Friends with benefits"

Really enjoyed it. The banter between timberlake (Dylan) and Kunis (Jamie) is fantastic. Definitely one to see IMO....only thing to let it down is the end is predictable. In saying that, you dont watch romantic comedies expecting anything other than what usually happens LOL

Watched Cowboys and Aliens with my kid earlier.....bit gay. Was OK if nothing else on but it was a bit slow to start and the CGI wasnt the best either.

I really liked Friends with Benefits! Justin Timberlake is a pretty decent actor and mighty fine to look at too. I watched his new movie In Time is really good as well.

    Gamer - with Gerard Butler.
The first half hour was a bit painful on the eyeballs but once the story started to unfold I thought it was very well
thought out and no holes in the plot that I could see.
Also - Law Abiding Citizen (again with Gerard Butler) a clever film.

Ummmm....not really a movie but it was so bloody good i'm gunna recommend it anyway.

The entire New Zealand TV series of 'Outrageous Fortune'.
It follows the life of the 'West' family. A New Zealand crime family who try to go straight but they try as they like trouble just seems to find them anyway.
Its like a hardcore blokes version of 'Home and away' with crazy shit happening left right and centre and took a month or 2 to watch em all. I havent laughed so much in ages and it was so close to home as the main character 'Van' and his mate 'Munta' are just the type of fella's i know oh to well.
It was N.Z's longest running show or most popular show i've been told and i was spewin when i finished the series as it's finished up for good now.

As for a movie well its not a newy (2005) but i recently watched "Control" wich is the story of Ian Curtis and the band 'JOYDIVISION'. It was a bloody awsome movie although a little sad and dark at times. It is a absoloute must if you are a Joydivision fan or even if you like pommy music from that era like The Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop and David Bowie.

    Movies
Friends with Benefits- I usually avoid rom coms but I loved this, although I definately agree it is predictable. I have recomended it to people.
cowoys vs Aliens i saw it ages ago but I liked it. Its good to see something in that genre with a bit of a different idea.
    Smurfs kids loved it.
    Series-
The Walking Dead if you love Zombie/survival movies (28 days later, dawn of the dead etc) WATCH THIS SERIES.
Unlike all the Zombie flicks they don't make extremely stupid decisions and because each ep is nearly an hour long it can focus in on each situation better.
I love this show. The season finale I just saw was great. It answered all my lingering questions but kept me really interested to see what happens next. I am counting down the days until the next season starts!

    Moves I want to see-
    Red Dog
    Apollo 18

I might have to look up that zombie series - love zombie flicks.

Sean, not a fan of outrageous fortune....I cant understand why everyone loves it so much, its basically just an exaggerated version of actual life in NZ LOL

Sharoo, Red dog is on Foxtel on demand at the mo and I keep debating whether I want to see it or not. My kid does....but I personally am not usually a fan of Aussy movies....I find the accent odd in a movie, it just doesnt sound right LOL

I was going to hire it from the Red Box Booth tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
I know what you mean about the accent, Its painful sometimes, however when I play Xbox the American boys ALWAYS guess I'm Australian just based on my accent. I hope I don't have a bad Aussie film accent!! lol
