Maybe the wait staff will be frightened into excellent service...

Poor OH, he tried, maybe next time send him to the haircutter with pictures of the kind of cuts you were looking for (and he can cope with for a day). He could always get the buzz cut after your event.

LOL at trying ot get a guy with a mullet to get something sophisticated, just be thankful he doesnt have the mullet anymore LOL.

I love a shaved head. Mine has a shaved head...and number 3 is too long IMO. It's gotta be a 1....or at max a 2. I think shaved heads even make ugly guys look quite tasty (if they have the right type of look). It's weird as I have super long hair, but I can't stand hair on a guy....especially when they need to use gel or something in it...yucky LOL

It is hair, it grows. What the hell is the big deal that he has to look a certain way to go out to a great restaurant and a kid free time?
I thought we love the person. It seems pretty shallow to me to feel this way still. Initially sure, it is a disappointment but that is all.
If you are too embarrassed to be seen with him it really doesn't say much about you, does it, in this situation.

I was bald from chemo, in a headscarf and Hubby took me to a lovely restaurant for our anniversary. He loved me enough not to give a damn.

To be perfectly honest the main reason I am so upset is that I wanted everything to be perfect when I break tradition and ask him to Marry me rather than wait for him to do it. I obviously can't tell him that which is Soooo frustrating. I do love him to pieces and I am not normally a shallow person but is it to much for a girl to ask for such a day to be extra special.

We are animal people, normally we are covered in animal hair (dog, cat and horse) wearing a t-shirt, jeans and boots. He normally has a hair cut from me ever 3-6 months and I have a hair cut once a year. I am planing to wear a dress(I don't normally do anything but jeans and a Tee) hair, make up and high heels
All I asked him to do was get a nice hair cut and after all the planing I have been doing over the last month. It really up set me that he (and the hairdresser) botched it when it is all I asked him to do for it all.
I have also organized a new 4X4 Ute as his engagement pressie because he has wanted one since he was in high school and he needs a new car.
I admit I have settled down now and we will be going I was just really hurt and angry at the time he came home from the hairdresser.

Haha wow, will you marry me? lol jks! I've been waiting for my boyfriend for 7 years now, its been promised over and over again but its yet to happen (because he spends all his money on stupid shit like sheds, motorbikes and cars instead )! I swear I will die unmarried and have to live with my horrible surname forever. although I did threaten to make our kids (when we have them) have my surname if we weren't married and keep it until we do, soooo hopefully that's some incentive there! He would be furious if his son didn't have his name... I am evil

Goodluck! Still just remember why your doing this. Make him wear a beanie :P haha

Jadielee, you should do as my wife did as she was in the same boat except she took on a shocking, and i mean shocking surname for a female.
We got engaged about 6 years a go after been together for many, many years. She got the shits with waiting so long, so after my bro got married she just went ahead and started planing a wedding anyway whether i liked it or not. She got her mum and my mum onboard and before i knew it i was walking down the isle.
My only request was that she wore a white sarong and white string bikini top (Pammy Anderson style), me and the lads in Boardies, crocs and singlets (black of course) and do it on the beach. For some strange reason that never happened ?

Dont wait for him, get the mum's together and just start planning it now.....he's probably like me and dosnt whant to go through all the effort of dressing up in a suit and organising a expensive wedding.

Yeah he doesn't see the point of it all, thinks it a big fuss for nothing! lol Typical man doesn't understand :P I've started planning a little, already decided we are going to Vanuatu and I've picked out our venue! lol The surname I will be taking is easy peasy compared to my maiden name, my maiden name is Irish and I am pretty sure my ancestors were drunk when they picked it out!

No wonder then you are/were pissed off. I would be too if I had been planning all this and wanted it to be perfect!
I hope you have a wonderful night.

How exciting, I hope it all goes perfectly!

My hubby has a shaved head, military boy and all. LOL When our toddler rides on his shoulder at the shop, she pats his head. I hate when his hair starts to get long and messy!
