Default Ah go and fly a kite Ya ...., .....!

Lol, So I am getting into stunt kite flying as a new hobby pastime for the new year and beyond, also been seriously thinking of possibly going into kite boarding or even use a buggy because I am feeling old atm lol, cant get to the beach so often for kite surfing but who knows what the future may hold I might end up coastal again one day, I feel like a kid again. Damn the prices of kite and sail gear is astrophysically- astronomically-astrocomically- large, who'd a thunked it!

I bought a cheapy kite to practice with for stunt kiting, so much fun.

I bought a cheapy a while back to keep the young fella amused. It was a blast and can be a bit of a weapon when it swooped near the ground. I wouldnt whant to get hit by it, do a bit of damage i reckon. We would always get a few people watching. It's broken ATM. To many crashes.
Not as easy as it looked either.
    Good stuff Beau.

Ha, ha. My brother is into R.C boats, planes everything.
He used to live next door. Knocks on my door about 9.00pm holding his new helicopter he just built.
    'Watch this' he says.
Puts it in the middle of the road, revs it up, takes off about 3 feet in the air, flips it, CRASH !! Little bits everywhere and me cracking up.
He didnt see the funny side of it. 2 weeks and a hundred bucks later he was back in the air.

It's not easy! First time it had taken no 2 hrs to get it in flight without loop de loops tangleing the lines and crashing to the bloomin ground lol! Down to about 45 mins now flipping thing *mad hatter* its hard stuff and takes some skills..

Yeah i found that having more line out was a little easier than having it in close and trying to keep it even each side. The slightest pull to much one way then over correcting the other way eventually sees it out of control and hitting the deck.
Bloody satisfying when its up and dancing well though.
Might just have too drag mine out of the garage and fix her up, only needs a plastic bit glued up. Some new string too maybe.

    Hey,

I used to fly foil kites and had a buggy for a while! I gave it up though as i was getting married and planning a baby, so couldnt risk the injuries. I still have my little kite, its 1.2m and enough to cause me damage in a good wind, i must et it out at christmas! Have fun
