I actually really enjoy my alone time, gives me a chance to do all the things that my OH hates me doing. Even silly little things like being able to paint my nails without having to hear how much nail polish stinks .

Haha that would have to be the only good point! You can do what you want! I only have to worry about myself, If I don't want dinner, doesn't matter! :P you do get use to it after a while. My OH is going to be starting a new job next year where he will be traveling a bit. Might as well do it while we are young!

One good thing about AussieMyf's OH being away - she gets to visit in here. Of course, now he's back... We get to miss Aussie Myf instead.

My OH of 3 years and I broke up last weekend (he doesnt feel the same way he did when we first started dating) and I miss him terribly!
I'm not exactly coping but I pass my time by working (I get to work early and leave later than I usually would), reading good books that you can get lost in, spending time with good friends, walking my dog and for the past week I have had a couple of beers whilst watching TV before bed so that I can fall asleep.
Owning a dog should be a partnership. Much like a good marriage it should be based on love, trust and devotion until death do you part.

ClareBear im so sorry to hear! Stay strong, we're all hear for you(hence why ive turned to the forum in my hour of need!)
Thanks everyone for your responses, I appreciate it!
He sent me another e-mail saying the phone won't connect or something, so he's going to buy a cheap prepaid simcard over there and see if that works.
Do any of you guys have any idea what might be going wrong? Area codes? 'International roaming'? etc.? Do any of these things ring a bell?

<3 Clarebear, breaking up with someone long term is the worst, hope your doing ok.
Just said goodbye to my bf for at least the next four weeks.. but most probably 6.. So no christmas, new years or my sisters wedding.. A certain someone has a lot to make up for when he's back!
