My favourite place to be.!!! Make sure you get up to Waddy point and Indian Head. The track around indian needs tyre pressure dropped but is well worth it. Best fishing last trip was in the gutters between the 2 headlands. Champagne pools worth a look aswell.
Plenty of Dingos up that way too.

The Maheno is a good photo opportunity aswell. Eli creek is always changing and was just a crowded trickle last time we where there. Hopefully you get it better.
Just remember the further north ya go the more self sufficent you need to be but the Waddy Point campsites have good showers etc up in the top section of the area and is even dingo proof in some areas.
So jealous of you guys right now. The weather is supposedly going to be perfect tomorrow so make the most of it !!

We ventured up the beach yesterday afternoon! Stopped at the maheno, Indian head and the champagne rock pools! Indian head was awesome, although I nearly died getting up the hill! Lol and we seen some little dingo's eating a fish near orchid beach! We were going to stop at Eli creek but there were to many people there, it was certainly flowing though!

Also went to central station yesterday and went for what we thought was a short walk through the forest which turned into a 5-6km hike! Today is our last day/night so I think we are going to go back to lake mckenzie for a swim!

We are staying in a motel thing at the moment, but will definitely be coming back in January for camping! It's an awesome place!

Despite my hatred and envy of you right now I am so glad you have had a great time lol.

Thank you for sharing this with us.
My water views at times are just the ruddy rice bays and I didn't even have that the last 8 years or so due to drought.

    Looks like a WONDERFUL place.

This is on the drive from eurong to kingfisher bay resort, after the bush fires had gone through!

The weather this morning was great, all geared up for a swim and BBQ, but then the clouds came over and it was to cold! Lol it's all fine and warm again now though of course! Lol going to go and give beach fishing another shot!

    And a forest shot!

It amazes me how there can be so many different landscapes all with in one place! Rainforest, swamp land, bush, beach, cliffs, sand dunes! It is really awesome! Lol

    Nice pix

Frosty and I hit our local beach this morning - it was fantastic - she did zoomies with two Golden Retrievers and then a GSD - who had recently been treated for a liver-hepatitus infection - her stomach was all shaved so they could do ultrasounds. She ran around like a mad thing though - very happy.

I didn't know dogs got hep. The owner said the vet thought it might be from swimming in contaminated creek water - eek.

Anyway - long sandy beaches are wonderful.
