Default Just Saw My First Snake!!

I was driving to the servo about 10 mins ago and these 2 cars were going really slow...I was like WTF? Then the one in front of my swung right out and there was the snake heading across the road.

I got a bit excited LOL

I wonder if you would be so excited if it was in your back yard.

Saw tracks and a tear in the netting outside a corner of the dog pen.
Obviously it wasn't in there as when hours later we let the dogs out they showed that it was nowhere around.

Living in Perth we see them all the time.. But I still get excited Atm I'm living with the Swan River at the bottom of my property... You'd be amazed at how many tiger snakes swim in it!

Over the weekend one of my friends lost her heart dog to a snake in the backyard

When my parents moved into their house (20 years ago) they saw a car pull up out the front and then reverse, and then go forward again, and reverse again before driving off.
They went over to the road and found the car had run over a snake.

They snake-proofed their entire yard but still 10 years later one of their dogs was bitten. He thankfully survived but I go by the motto of the only good snake is a dead snake. Even if it is illegal here to kill them.

LOL. I still get excited about snakes and I have lived in a snake area all my life. Thankfully mostly Carpet pythons.
