    Default What's Wrong with People

I honesty do not understand what is wrong with some people, just watching the news now and the Austrailia zoo hospital are looking after a Koala that has been shot multiple times with a slug gun.

Recently in my area (which coincidently has a high rate of animal abuse complaints) there have been a few ducks and roo's that have been shot with arrows.

I don't understand what compels people to do such a horrible thing.

    What goes around ,comes around.

I just hope thier turn involves a shotgun rather than a slugger.

I guess with the Roo's and Ducks that they were probably hunting them possibly for food to which i personally dont object (as long as done legally) I too am a shooter. I do however object to not killing the animal and leaving it wounded.
The Koala on the other hand well what can say? There are just some really dumb, cruel people out there.

They just leave them for other people to find Peter. Shoot them for "fun" or what ever they are doing :/

Yeh theres probably no shortage of people like that either. I myself wouldnt use an arrow and i imagine there would probably be few who could kill cleanly with one.

In Queanbeyan (town right next to Canberra) they have been finding decapitated animals. A couple of roos, some rabbits and a swan, I believe. Scary!

I also don't think there's anything wrong with shooting animals for food, as long as they are killed humanely. I think torturing animals is similar to torturing children and there is something seriously wrong with people who do it.

Torturing animals seem to be a pre requisite for becoming a serial killer doesnt it?

lol um yes, that is correct. Serial killers interest me I don't understand why people enjoy killing innocent creatures. When I used to live at Puckapunyal, they did roo culling, and that was specific but to leave creatures wounded and in pain is just cruel. My boyfriend is an avid animal lover and it just angers him so much when these attacks happen. Some people have no regard for life.

Animal cruelty is certainly one of the factors considered in the 'homicidal triad', along with bedwetting and fire lighting. But not every person who experiences one, two or three of these factors becomes either singly or serially homicidal. And not every homicidal individual has all, or sometimes any, of the above factors. It's complicated.

And then there is factor 4: owning a VW Beetle.....

Hunting with a bow isn't very common here, and the bow must be a very high weight to be legal for shooting to ensure death to the animal, not just wounding them (It's around 50lb in the US, not sure about Aus). I know I can't draw the weight of a proper hunting bow.

Sounds like some morons out having "fun".
