I think I get your drift....

Some of your post have heaps to say, as in interesting and informative stuff........But then you think of more to add......I often think of more after I reply..

    Often to apologise

Exactly. That happened when I was talking about the Calgary laws and to be honest I think it is probably one of the only times I have ever multiple posted in a row.

forum rules prohibit posting just to post.

It clags up forums, hides actual discussion and good posters and readers and lurkers leave ie it can kill a forum.

So yes, lots of meanless or repetitive posts are usually a concern to forum management.

Give me an example of what you mean, i was assuming clubsprint was being referred to as he is the flavour of the month, yet i dont see a problem with his posting.
I saw our old friend Disneys post as trouble

    erm

personally while I find clubsprints posts annoying and repetitive and evasive and self contradicting, not sure they qualify as the repetitive meanless kind of stuff that is against the forum rules. Maybe, maybe not. I'm not a moderator so I don't get to decide anyway.

The ones I find a problem are the ones that post gibberish or not quite English and bump really old threads with stuff that isn't relevant or repeats what has already been said without adding anything. Like childrens arguments - no I didn't - yes you did - no I didn't - yes you did - or in three different (old) threads - posting "me too" and nothing else etc.

Disney made a lot of posts just to stir up outrage. Given the nature of many clubsprints posts and how selective its points are - I feel they have a lot in common. This is what defines a troll for me. Someone who only posts for attention - doesn't matter what kind of attention. No need for being truthful about their opinion or rational or consistent in their arguments.

Like some of the others said, the reaction to clubsprint, in a spectator sport way (pass the popcorn), can be fun for some to watch. Personally, I'm bored with it already so tuned out.

If I was clubsprint and others, this is the rule I'd be worried about.
While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
I find this post insulting and just there to stir trouble.

It's especially bad because Ayen was not killed by a pitbull. There are quite a few similar posts that suggest owners of kelpies and cattle dogs in the city are asking for trouble and all these dogs are dangerous (bite people they shouldn't). And that "idiots" tried to use Rotties and similar as their guard dogs but nobody died - which is also not true. Not idiots, and people including children died from dobermans, GSD and Rottweiler attacks.

Most posts contain sweeping generalised insults and most do not contain any facts but it's called "proof" and "community support" and suggests that BSL will fix things when there is a tonne of evidence against - especially in the UK where people are still being attacked by dogs, not specifically of any breed.

I find that insulting to my intelligence. Reading some of those posts is like letting a brain sucker kill your intelligence.
