I think with regard to the ticks, the season lasts from now until March next year?! I've got preventic collars on my two, they are only around 12-13 bucks but last two months, I also bought these little tick removing hooks from a pet store, I think they were around 25 bucks, but you get two (small and large). Haven't had to use them yet thank god!

That sounds like fun, I would only be able to bring Bella though as Harley has his DA issues! She needs to go to obedience training though, she has bad manners, I though I would be able to train her myself since I had already been to puppy school with the first one... haha fail that was ... she can sit and shake and that is about it so back to school we go!

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

I used to love frogs when i was little. I would rescue them from the swimming pool. Then one night when i was about 13, i found one in the toilet bowl as i was using it! ever since..i've been completely scared shi*less of them. my other half often says to me "watch out for that frog" when we're outside taking the dogs to the toilet. He just likes to see me jump 5 foot in the air

I live just out of Perth, we've had a few turn up in random metro suburbs but that's about all at the moment. I'm sure they're making there way down here as we speak Just as long as they stay the hell away from me!

Some keep them as pets, actually they are quite endearing critters imo, theres a book published in the 80's about keeping cane toads as pets lol.

I hit one with a shovel when i was landscaping. He managed to spit right in my mouth !!
Bloody gross, ran to the tap and washed it out for about 5 minutes and couldnt stop spitting. Work mates thought it was hilarious. I didnt think it was funny at all.
I hate Canetoads with a passion. My son and i love playing golf at night with them.
I was surprised to see how many are on Fraser Island on my last camping trip, they are in plague proportions. The damage these toads will do to places like Kakadu and other gems, i'm surprised the government arnt doing much to try and stop them. Maybe its just to late.

Yes I would only bring Phoenix as my older dog Keira has DA/Reactivity issues too. Might make a new thread up to organise a DogForum play date shortly.

I pretty much think they are doing all they can, if you look at sites like toad watch you can find out what new bio weapons are being trialed etc.

As kids we had toad hunts, all out and a bout with our air rifles littering the streets with corpses. different days, and it wasnt very long ago either.
