    Default I Found a 100 Year Old Saddle

    look what i found in a store room at dandenong tafe in the art room i found a 100 year old saddle i think it wof something it said it was made in 1894 have a look

    Sorry to spoil your exitement, but "seit" = since.
    Stubben Saddles have been manufactured since 1894

    Your saddle is not that old. You can even tell by it's shape (sorry)

    you guys know so well.....I have no ideas about horses though I was born in the year of horse.....long long time ago....

    Dont worry chop next thersday im taking my saddle cleening kit becluse from what i have been told that saddle been in that store room for 20 years so it needs a exctr big clean and pollse will do it good and i have put a clame in if no body comes to get it in 3mts time this saddle will be siting in my tack room. In great con happy as it can be that what it needs is a nice loving owner and a new home But chopper what is a Stubben.

    Ruby its the brand of saddle you found

    And its a very good brand at that , they can last forever if looked after properly . If you do end up with it ( fingers crossed) before you think of using it be sure to have it checked over by a saddler in case the tree and/or stuffing is buggered

    I have an old Stubben....It is about 36 years old (telling my age), I have had it from new. It is very comfy and my Dressage saddle, it has the same plate.
    One of my favourite places is our tack room..just for the smell. but I hate the work that is involved to keep it all clean

    i cheked it no broken trees i have be told how to cheke them how you od it is you put the saddle to you belly and push hard if it bends and make s noise then the tree is stuffed but still im going to take it to the saddler just to be safe and way i have two saddle one my mums stock saddle is in need of a reper ane the westen needs to be stuffed more to fit my horses back so if i get it and i will if i dont i just keep naging them to get it to me ( can i have that saddle ,can i have that saddle,can i have that saddle) and this might go on for mts ento thay say yes that one more thing about me IM A NAGGER
